Dave concentrates his practice in consumer protection law and is recognized as one of New Jersey's top consumer class action attorneys. He has been appointed lead class counsel in dozens of consumer-related class actions and has represented consumers throughout the Country in Multi-District Litigations. Dave has led successful actions against many of the Country's most notorious financial institutions and has defended countless homeowners against wrongful foreclosures. In addition, Dave devotes himself to impact litigation, such as his patients' rights class action against New Jersey's Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital.
Dave's class actions have been featured in the New Jersey Law Journal and he has been quoted by MSNBC, Trial Magazine, Law 360, Yahoo Finance and various other news sources across New Jersey. Dave has also been a guest on News 12 New Jersey, speaking on consumer issues and forced arbitration.
Named to the New Jersey Super Lawyers List in 2022, 2023 and 2024, Dave is the New Jersey Chair of the National Association of Consumer Advocates and sits on NACA's Judicial Nominations Committee. He also is a member of both the American Association for Justice and the New Jersey Association for Justice (Civil Rights Committee), and sits on the Board of Directors of the Consumer League of New Jersey, where he serves as the Director of Litigation. Dave is also a member of the Class Actions Special Committee and the Consumer Protection Law Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association. He also serves as the Vice Chair of the Land Use Board of the Borough of Peapack and Gladstone.
Dave regularly lobbies in both Washington DC and Trenton on consumer issues such as predatory lending, manufactured housing and forced arbitration, and is a frequent speaker on Constitutional issues, class action practice and consumer rights.
A graduate of Tufts University and of the Boston University School of Law, Dave is admitted to practice in New Jersey, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.
